Gina Bruce is a Sydney-based, artist represented by Liverpool Street Gallery. With over two decades of consistent exhibition experience, she has developed a distinctive practice that moves between en plein air and studio-based work.
Bruce completed a Bachelor of Fine Art with Honours at the National Art School in 2003. Since 2004, she has held ten solo exhibitions at Robin Gibson Gallery, Sydney, including Ancient Innocence (2024). Her most recent exhibition Palace and the Shade Tree (2026) was held at Liverpool Street Gallery.
Her work has been exhibited in major national prize exhibitions including the Sulman Prize, Salon des Refusés, Portia Geach Memorial Award, Mosman Art Prize, Paddington Art Prize, and the Kedumba Drawing Award. Internationally, she has participated in residencies and exhibitions in Paris, Bangkok, and most recently China (2024 China–Australia Cultural Exchange, Beijing and Xi’an).
Gina Bruce is the recipient of several awards, including the Gruner Prize (Art Gallery of NSW), Waverley Art Prize, and the William Fletcher Foundation Grant (2024). Her work is held in public and private collections including Artbank, the Holmes à Court Collection, and Waverley Council.
She works from a studio at Lennox Street Studios in Newtown and is a member of the Australian Watercolour Institute.
